@StevenCravotta It depends what you are optimizing for. At @sculptaiapp we want to make optimized workout planning easy and accessible to everyone, to do that we offer a free version for those who can’t afford to pay. Long term I think this will pay off significantly.

Are you building an app with a freemium model? You're leaving money on the table. No one making real money is doing freemium right now. Every app printing in 2026 is doing this: 1: Install a hard paywall with a free trial. 2: Force the decision upfront. Make the users commit to a subscription. My conversion rate went from 2% to 12% when I changed this.
