It’s obsolete. The intent was to help transition from a salvery state to citizenship. Let’s not try and pretend that the founding fathers ever dreamed a Presidential Administration would help with an invasion of illegal immigrants. No slaves therefore no need for the 14th. This will now force @USCongress_ to actually reform our immigration system. 🤷‍♂️👀🤔

If it has to go to the Supreme Court it will prevail. The 14th Amendment’s “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” doesn’t apply to those here unlawfully or on visa, as their allegiance is to another country. Citizenship should not automatically extend to children of illegal immigrants, as the amendment was intended for those fully under U.S. jurisdiction, like former slaves not illegal migrants or tourists.
