Absolutely not. Europe does that absolute bare minimum to ensure Ukraine doesn't collapse tomorrow. For example, right now, Ukraine will run out of money in 2 months. That's the noose. If Ukraine collapses Russia will invade NATO countries starting with the Baltics. Europe is terrified of Russia and is forcing Ukrainians to die alone to defend all of Europe.

I do hope that European states finally understand what a strategic asset Ukraine is right now. People need to stop talking about Ukraine needing Europe. Europe needs Ukraine for its own freedom and security.

@igorsushko @Arlo_Dun Europe is geostrategically irrelevant without Ukrainian tech and knowhow. Clear demonstration of that in the gulf. Mind though if everyone had given as much as we in NL, Ukraine would be in a better place. Ukraine has many friends in Europe.

I very much doubt Ukraine would agree to that now. Europe has held a noose over Ukraine's neck since the start of the war because Ukraine found itself in a desperate situation without much meaningful help. Europe has forced Ukraine to bleed alone on the verge of bankruptcy, while protecting all of Europe from Russia at an incomprehensible human toll.

But to be clear, Canada has contributed significantly, mostly training, humanitarian aid, and light weapons, while the heavy lifting in tanks, artillery, and advanced systems has come from EU. Frustration is valid, but ....

The man who manages $11 trillion just said two words that should terrify every person on the planet. "Global recession." Larry Fink, CEO of BlackRock, the largest asset manager in human history sat down with the BBC and laid out the scenarios. Fink told the BBC there are only two possible outcomes for the global economy right now. His exact words: "There's not going to be an outcome that's somewhere in the middle." Outcome one is that Iran gets reintegrated into the global community, sanctions ease and Iranian oil and Venezuelan oil flood back into markets. Then the oil drops below $40 a barrel, the world gets relief. Outcome two is that Iran remains a threat, the Strait of Hormuz stays disrupted and the standoff stretches on for years.
