@Armen52 @firt Good suggestion, but that setting doesn't have any effect. Interestingly, when I close the window from the window controls on the top left and then choose "Quit" from the Dock context menu to completely close the app, it then shows the home page again when I reopen it

A web app that was added to the Dock on MacOS will always open the URL that was open when it was last closed, not the URL that was set as its "Application URL". This is strange behaviour and probably a bug.

I found an A/B testing at Twitter offering an in-app browser using a webview on iOS instead of the Safari View Controller. If they are going that way, it's terrible news. The experimental browser has no toolbar, back button, or menu. You can see it in the left image.
