🇦🇲 On my first official visit to Yerevan, it was an honour to be received by His Excellency Vahagn Khachaturyan, President of the Republic of Armenia. We reflected on 30+ years of practical cooperation between @NATO and #Armenia, as we embark on a new path of even deeper engagement, grounded in this country's democratic resilience, and its bold vision for lasting peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.

🇦🇲 Just had an enriching call with my colleague, Minister @AraratMirzoyan. We discussed ways to strengthen our bilateral relations as well as EU–Armenia cooperation, and exchanged views on the developments in the wider region.
I welcome the continued engagement of both Armenia and Azerbaijan in the peace process and express my hope for the prompt signing of a peace agreement.

Armenia is becoming a political battleground between Russia and the European Union. There's a real risk that the EU will countenance Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan undermining Armenia's democracy to secure a geopolitical victory for the West. trib.al/Njk0SYA
In 📞 w/my 🇷🇴 counterpart
discussed initiatives aimed at deepening 🇦🇲-🇪🇺 partnership as well as enriching our bilateral agenda.
We both attach special attention to enhanced economic & transport connectivity.
Looking forward to welcoming you in Yerevan soon, dear @oana_toiu!
Pleased to welcome Amb. Kevin Hamilton, NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia.
Frank and open discussion on the AM-NATO 30+ years of cooperation, reflecting on almost entire scope of the bilateral agenda.
Wishing the SGSR all the best for his future endeavors.
Ahead of Armenia’s June elections, Prime Minister Pashinyan — backed by the EU — is preventing his main opponent, Samvel Karapetyan, from campaigning. Armenians deserve a free and fair vote.
Armenians know actual living Georgians more than vice versa, probably because they’ve been coming to the Georgian seaside a lot in recent decades, or originate from Georgia / have ethnic Armenian relatives in Georgia.
But they are mostly unaware of the gravity of situation in Georgia. The amount of “it’s just the same here” responses I get makes me sad. Then, when I proceed to describe the full depth, I get disbelief in response, which is sad but valid: “We used to look up to you!”
Subsequent reaction is usually a deep surprise and amused chuckle when I say that now many Georgians look up to Armenia’s development and wish we had the Pashinyan government.
We welcome 10-day ceasefire in #Lebanon, achieved through @POTUS's mediation efforts,as an important step towards de-escalation.
We hope that this development will contribute to comprehensive & sustainable peace in the region with respect of territorial integrity of the parties.
