Miami tech is on fire right now. Founders from all over the country (the world) are here, helping each other to win together. VCs and big corporations are also embracing the momentum. Think SF in the 2010s, but on steroids. Mark my words, more and more unicorns will come out of South Florida. It's history in the making! And I'm grateful to be able to experience this energy and do my part.

Last Tuesday, we had a small curated group of builders and investors to have a fireside chat with @mabot, Managing Director of @X/@xai for Canada and LATAM. Lots of nuggets, but in short, don't sleep on @X especially if you're in tech/finance: - @X has the slowest scroll speed compared to other social networks, which leads to more intentional content consumption vs. pure zombie scrolling. - Long form content works best as it holds attention longer. It's harder to create and that's kind of the point. - Use the platform as a real-time market research tool and get direct and immediate feedback from your niche. The "town hall" effect. - Being the "reply guy" (but actually adding value) and meaningfully participating in other's discussions is the fastest way to build your audience when you're starting out.

My aunt Mary passed away yesterday. She was one of my favorite people and possibly the person who knew my dad better than anyone. I’ll miss her wisdom, wit, kindness and the unwavering calmness and serenity that was her natural disposition. A modern day stoic. ✨

🇳🇱 The Dutch know how to celebrate Koningsdag (King’s Day), even in Miami. This was a genuine gathering at the beautiful residence of the Consul General of the Netherlands, Lisette den Breems, in Pinecrest. Big thanks to Maurice Ouderland for inviting us. He's representing Dutch sports in the US, and bringing the "ROI of football" ahead of the 2026 @FIFAWorldCup. I even received a generous gift from the Dutch Consulate and @KLM: A round-trip flight to Amsterdam for two! This is a truly useful gift, considering that there’s no direct flight to Milan from Miami, and most of the time I have a layover in Amsterdam. This event showed me again that the European community in Miami is growing. And we are here for it. Europe Meets Miami is expanding its partners. For the next season we plan to have an event together with the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Miami. The future of Miami is bright 🏝️
