Bitcoin ATMs are enabling the worst crimes in Vancouver. While they are just one tool for laundering proceeds of crime, they have become the most convenient and prevalent. Thank you, Minister. @vanliberals will revoke the business licences of businesses that have these machines.

Once the proverbial line is crossed and a woman is assaulted by her intimate partner, there is no turning back. The first assault is the most difficult for the monster. It only gets easier & more frequent after the first time. A shove becomes a push. A push becomes a slap. A slam becomes a punch etc etc etc…imo more needs to be done so that a woman and her children have some financial security that allows them to leave. I’ve never been told; ‘I endured the abuse because I loved him’, what I have heard multiple times is; ‘where am I going to go with my kids?’ That’s why many endure the abuse. ‘Why not just leave’ is often not an easy option.

IMO intimate partner violence is still not treated with the same seriousness as other violent crimes. Too often it’s framed as a private matter, and the sentences reflect that. I also reject, ‘crime of passion’. This phrase is used far too often & it suggests that we as men cannot accept rejection. Crime of Passion=Murder full stop.
