India has imported defence tech for decades. We have a real opportunity to change that .. to become truly self-reliant.
We should not be making the mistake of inviting foreign players in when Indian startups and industry are fighting hard to make a mark globally.
Make in India in defence means nothing if the IP isn't Indian.

A productive interaction with a delegation led by Mr. Brian Schimpf, Co-Founder & CEO of @AndurilTech. Discussed avenues to advance defence innovation and deepen technology partnerships, with a focus on expanding Anduril’s footprint in India under the Make in India initiative.

Exported to 34 countries. 1 million flight hours.
Everywhere the TB2 flew, history was made. Air defence strategies crumbled. Superpower assumptions shattered.
This wasn't built by Lockheed Martin.
It wasn't funded by a Pentagon budget.
It was built by Turkey, a country that decided the sky wasn't someone else's to own.
The TB2 didn't just change warfare. It changed who gets to wage it.

February 2022. Russia rolls into Ukraine with the second-largest military on earth.
Tanks. Artillery. Air power. Overwhelming force.
Ukraine had something else.
Within days, TB2 strike footage was everywhere: Russian armoured columns burning, logistics convoys reduced to wreckage, soldiers fleeing on foot.
The videos spread faster than the invasion itself.
Then came the song. 'Bayraktar', written by a Ukrainian soldier, topped the charts.
A Turkish drone, built in a mid-sized factory by an engineer with a vision, had become the sound of a nation.
And the world's second-largest military, humiliated on camera, frame by frame, strike by strike.

Anatomy of a drone - Bayraktar.
A 🧵:
Built by someone who wasn't a defence contractor but an MIT graduate student whose father-in-law happened to be the President of Turkey.
Selçuk Bayraktar built the TB2 almost against the grain of how great weapons are supposed to be made. Nobody saw it coming, and that was the point.

Every ongoing war is broadcasting the same announcement:
Drones are here to change the course of warfare.
In our first Anatomy of a Drone, we feature the Shahed-136, the system that turned swarming into a scalable doctrine.
The volume game and strategy of businesses is now brought to war.

Current war economics are disproportionate and conventional.
The math of these modern conflicts barely adds up. Crores to defend. Thousands to just dismantle it.
We, the folks at Armory, are not okay with that.
If you want comfort, this isn’t it.
If you want impact and work with a high agency and low tolerance for mediocrity, come build where it actually matters.
Where we create products like SURGE that challenge standards of defence systems, and raise them.
