
was at a cpg roundtable earlier and someone made a point that's been stuck in my head. brands are so obsessed with subscribe & save that they'll push it on products that make zero sense as a subscription. like you're literally scheming on your own customers.
if you actually want LTV you have to think about whether the customer even wants to re-buy on a cycle. some products are a one time purchase and that's fine. forcing a subscription because it looks good on your retention metrics is how you lose trust with people who would've come back on their own
