I’ve never run ads before, but decided to start with Apple ads for a utility app. The cool part was getting Hermes to build me this dashboard that pulls data from Apple ads and RevenueCat to compare Revenue to cost per install etc.
Just gives me a nice view as to whether the ad campaign is working. I can safely attribute all revenue to the ads because it’s currently getting very little (brand new app, one week old)

I've been localising a lot of my apps recently, and the most painful part: Updating the text in all my existing English screenshots.
So I made an open source Claude skill that does it for me.
Select your languages from a list, drop your existing screenshots in, Claude will give you the translations to double check, hit go and all the screenshots are generated, in up to 20 languages.
Hope you all get some use out of it in the same way I have. If you do, be sure to give it a star

@AndresDefi Yeah this would be easy to build in. I’ll update it later today. The exchange rates might be a bigger ask, but definitely the currency symbol etc.

@wakey7dev What about localising even the values and so on? For example if localising to an asian country and in the case of your screenshots, to be able to change the currency, the value, etc to apply to the localised language?

@wakey7dev Ironically this revenue is aligned to my best day 😂

@wakey7dev I do hope it can still pick up mate. But yes, data driven building is definitely better and more "secure"
Then you just need to get better at that as well 😅

This app has had 27 downloads since I released it 2 months ago, and made only $3.
It took me 2 weeks to build with full iPad support as I also tested and refined it with my daughter (the app is aimed at kids).
I loved making it. But it has no search volume so it was always doomed.
Another lesson for me in doing data driven building, rather than what I think is a good idea.

@alpennec Just uploaded to App Store Connect and Apple are happy at that resolution. i have been using this myself recently but only turned it into a re-usable skill today so might be a few little niggles which is why I madee it public and open source so people can do what they want

Just setup my first App Store Ads campaign as a test to learn from and honestly I'm so excited. Will share the results here.
The risk is that this is a new app that has never had revenue as it's only like a week old, but any revenue that comes will be easy to chalk up to ads so there's that.

@wakey7dev Have you tried changing the packaging? Maybe people are seeing your app listing but not perceiving the value from your screenshots and copy.
Also, are you using any ASO tool to research keywords? This also makes a big difference on what keywords to target for your app.

Just experienced streamable 4D Gaussian Splatting content on Apple Vision Pro… and it's insane 🤯
Seeing life sized volumetric people performing right in my room is kind of mind blowing. It really feels like real humans are standing in front of you.
And it streams online just like regular video. No massive downloads. No waiting.
Awesome work by @gracia_vr 👏 Apple Vision Pro + Gaussian Splatting is one of the most futuristic things I’ve seen in a long time.
