Ahead of the national celebration of the international women's day 2026, UPSTU has organized it's annual women's conference on 6th & 7th at NOB VIEW HOTEL Ntinda. We congratulate all the women upon the celebration of the women's day @upstu_2019 @elong_vincent

At my first rally today, I presented the 2026–2031 Manifesto to our people, the Bakonjo of Bukonzo East Constituency in Kasese District. I explained that the future of Kasese lies in wealth and jobs from three areas: commercial agriculture, services such as tourism including wildlife and mountaineering, and manufacturing. This is why we emphasise emyooga, practical skills, Emyooga and Presidential Skilling Hubs. I also noted the need for more roads and road equipment for this large district, reaffirmed pensions for the people of Rwenzururu, the resettlement of the Banyabindi, and the development of historical memorial sites such as Katebwa. As elections approach on 15th January, I call upon all Ugandans to come out in large numbers and vote NRM so we consolidate the gains made and move forward together.

Yesterday, while I was showing a video of Apio, a PDM farmer from Lira district, I was told she was at the rally. I invited her to give an update. More than a year later, she now owns 60 goats, up from just 10 when she started. This is what wealth creation through PDM looks like.

After meeting Kampala NRM leaders in Nakawa, I joined Maama at State Lodge Nakasero and talked to University Guild Presidents. I warned them against violence and identity politics, and reminded them that youthfulness is not for endless partying but for serving the country. I emphasised wealth creation through agriculture, industry, services and ICT, and stressed that production without markets is useless. Uganda now has surpluses of sugar, maize and milk—these must be sold. That is why regional integration through the EAC, and later Pan-Africanism, is essential to create bigger markets, support mass production, jobs and shared prosperity.
