Today marks one year since my friend and partner, Ruben Vardanyan was forcibly and unlawfully arrested by Azerbaijan, where he remains illegally jailed in Baku with many other Armenians in a clear violation of their basic human rights. The world must not observe injustice and do nothing. After its offensive against Armenians in Artsakh, Azerbaijan continues to hold and torture 90 prisoners of war, including many high-ranking Armenian officials. Congress must pass my Azerbaijan Sanctions Review Act to hold the regime accountable for flouting international law.
