@Saka_is_GOAT I hear you and you are right , but when MLS came on a few times, he hasn't been very assured in his possession of the ball. And our games these days have been very end to end which tend to lead to us dropping points. So you point stands but mikel probably wants more assured ctr.

@ArseFacts Even if you don't want to bring on Max for understandable reasons, we have Ethan. We have Myles. There are options to rest in games where we've been more comfortable, like Burnley.

The defensive injuries played a big part, but Mikel needs to look at how he's using the squad. The entire team, but most importantly Rice & Zubi, is physically dead. Why is Norgaard not playing more? Why has Dowman played so little? Why have Ethan & Myles played so little?

Brentford. Wasn't even on the bench for that one.
West Ham. Again, wasn't even on the bench.
Not expecting him to play every single one of those games, but he absolutely could've played at least 1.

@Saka_is_GOAT Personally I havent seen a game where id have had noorgard in for any of our midfielders cos when he comes on he makes us lose controll of the midfield I think he js more suited to a side whos aim is to break up play and spring a counter. He doesnt work for a team like ours.

Unpopular opinion, but this show is actually a good idea. The real problem isn’t Howard Webb, it’s Michael Owen and his team, they make the whole thing flat. @themichaelowen doesn’t even seem to know what his role is. They need to hand it over to a proper journalist. A good journalist would line up similar moments from different games with totally different outcomes and put them to Webb, asking him to explain the inconsistencies.

Winger false 9 anyone?. And the plan couldnt be executed well by the team also goes out the window when you are down so early. Just my little to add.

Most of us felt that the team selection was overly cautious. He can get a little childish when criticized, and he's got a great track record against "top 6" sides in recent years. Perhaps he expected better opposition, but I think (and hope) he learned something today. Even the best teams are terrified of us. We'll dominate/control most games by default. It's time to release the handbrake and go for the throat from the first whistle more often, and then apply the pragmatism and control when/if needed. We've got the players to do both.
