@Arnaudblanc @Rightanglenews It's also typically English. Any English person would choose those fingers too. Wasn't this exact thing how Brad Pitt was shown to be American (rather than German) in Inglorious Bastards IIRC?

@nippon_en The “Made In Nippon” are insanely soft leather.
I have about 500 pairs of OT and ASICS, genuine, new, boxed, in various styles and sizes if anyone is interested. Previous seasons colours/models. Huge savings.

English

Once a minor sports shoe brand, Onitsuka Tiger enjoyed some popularity decades ago before being subsumed into the lineup of parent company Asics. Today, though, it is back and stronger than ever.

@qrsupport
Hello,
I have several emails from Qatar to say that I need to access the Contact Center to read messages you have sent (why can't you just email the message?)
You sent another email to say the contact center is only visible when I log-in. I am.
SO WHERE IS IT?
Thanks

@forallcurious Another Blue Tick Wanker posting lies.
Why do you all do this?
Are you that sad that you need attention on the internet?
That poor that you need pennies from Elon?
Or just a cunt?
English

@grok @jackson_br67676 @ksorbs @grok this is not true.
The universities’s own website clearly states entry levels are exactly the same for overseas students as they are for UK students. Those who don’t have the required grades must take a foundation year. In addition a high-level of English is required.

English

Yes, this is real based on the student's account. Ted Newson (on GB News) said his A-level offer for Politics at University of Leeds was three As—the standard at the time. International students got two Cs and a D, as they're major revenue sources via higher fees. Current official typical offer is AAB for all, but reports (e.g. Sunday Times) confirm lower equivalents/pathways for internationals to fill places. Common UK uni practice amid funding pressures.

@Learning3fly @DamCou The first and second series had some very good, original story lines such as child trafficking (Stanley Tucci).
By S3, it was either repetitive or just silly, such as Trudy being abducted by James Brown.
S5 recovered a bit with Crockett’s realisation of the futility of the job.
English

@DamCou Watch a full episode of Miami Vice that isn’t the pilot. It’s junk.
English

If you were alive at the time, you might remember that the then-fashionable critical consensus was that both *Miami Vice* and Phil Collins were the essence of empty, soulless, consumerist corporate pop-culture product. As ever, The Cool Kids Were Wrong.
Pamela Hensley🇺🇸@PamelaHensley22
This scene in Miami Vice where "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins plays stands as one of TV's all time greatest cinematic sequences. It effortlessly establishes the mood and highlights just how far today's television industry has fallen. This authentic soul is gone.
English

@DangerousDave09 @LizWebsterSBF No, it’s proof that the UK had sovereignty to make their own decisions.
English

@LizWebsterSBF And all of that happend whilst we were in the EEC/EU, so that's hardly a ringing endorsement of the benefits of nearly 5 decades of EEC/EU membership then is it.

🧵 THREAD: How Britain gave away the North Sea
In 1970s Britain 🇬🇧 discovered one of largest oil windfalls in modern history.
Harold Wilson initially saw it for what it was, a once-in-a-generation chance to build national wealth. The idea was simple: Use North Sea oil to create a sovereign wealth fund
👉 Like Norway later did
👉 To invest for future generations
A long-term national asset.
🧵
Robert Jenrick@RobertJenrick
Britain has paid Norway over £100 billion for gas since 2021. For gas they’re drilling in the North Sea, the same sea Ed Miliband has banned new drilling in on the British side. Madness.
English

@MbarkCherguia More cyclists should do this, especially the ones who decide to ride on the 60mph road out of my village and cause half hour delays every weekend, rather than use the £3M cycle path that was built parallel to it just for their safety.
English

@jomickane Leeds Uni web says students need ABB or international equivalent; those not at that level must take foundation year (“first year to catch up” on the video).
Non-UK students also need 6.5-grade English test.
So, he’s lying.

English

@RareAxies @jomickane The real question is: why are you blaming the party in Government for the last year and half, and not the party that was in charge for ten times longer before them ?
Does having a blue tick mean you must blame everything on Labour, or a you just thick?
English

@jomickane the real question is why do Kier Starmer and the Labour party want to weaken the educational system
English

@ShutupLyle How about chewing tobacco instead?
Gives her something to put in her mouth to stave off the hunger pangs.
English

@BillE18314 @ShutupLyle Chemotherapy is great for weight loss too, but is harder to access than cigarettes. Won’t she need a prescription?
English

@ShutupLyle I suggest taking her to a clinic that treats cancer patients that have smoked for years. Then let her decide if it’s worth it!
English

@Timoldland The only person who has ever seen pink-on-orange like that before is Trump’s proctologist.
English

@FreedomReigns2 @HJB_News__ @machibigs It’s against election law to publish lies about the opposition.
Hint: the blue tick wanker posting this is lying.
English

@HJB_News__ @machibigs Blame conservatives for not publicising this long before the election
English

@CarlMalkin6 @JimCognito2016 Trolleys are excellent value, aren’t they?
Great for converting into BBQ grills, small animal enclosures or even secure fencing if you’re good with a brazing torch.
Quite a few are even used as keep nets for canal fishing and get left to be reused by the next guy!
#recycling
English

@JimCognito2016 The Cadbury eggs I buy from Tesco all say happy Easter on the box. You can also buy a trolley for £1.

English

@Matt_VickersMP Er.. the line about “taxes at record levels” was true 2 years ago when the Conservatives were in Government. You increased tax levels, Labour have at worst kept thresholds the same.

Hey @ITVSport
If this audio disruption means we don’t have to listen to Sam Matterface today, PLEASE DO NOT FIX IT.

@qikipedia Others think it’s inspired by copious quantities of Absinthe.
