Houston activists shut down a gas station after a clerk forced a 13-year-old boy to use the restroom outside and recorded him.
The boy needed to use the restroom so badly that he went behind the building, pooped, and used grass to wipe himself.
The employee inside the store recorded it and showed other middle school kids that were stopping in the store while saying things like, "Look at his wee-wee, look at his butt" while they laughed and recorded it.

Lorna was a high school classmate of mine who I only remember as kind and sweet. This is just an awful and infuriating situation.
Praying for her wellbeing 🙏🏼
Unfortunately no action taken can make up for the harm caused.

Meta has stopped working with Sama, a company in Kenya that helped train its AI using videos from the Ray-Ban glasses.
After that, Sama fired about 1,100 workers. Some of the workers say they lost their jobs after speaking out about the very private videos they had to watch.
The workers saw very private videos from the smart glasses, including people using the bathroom, taking off clothes, having sex, private talks, and even bank card details.
So many users did not know that a guy in Kenya were watching their videos to train the AI so a class-action lawsuit against Meta was filed
Sama has lost the contract with Meta and fired 1,000 people
Meta has not given a detailed public statement on ending the contract or the workers’ claims

His middle name is also SJB, which means that he's a direct (albeit distant) relative of the Nepal Royal Family.

Man Falsely Accused of Possessing Explicit Child Content by Target Employee. Stress Helps Leads to His Death.
A Multnomah County Circuit Court jury in Oregon has ordered Target to pay $150,000 to the estate of Jeffrey Buckmeyer after deciding that a store employee’s report about seeing inappropriate photos on the customer’s phone was false and caused serious harm.
Buckmeyer, a 43-year-old Portland-area man with no criminal record, walked into the Target at 9009 SW Hall Blvd in Tigard in July 2018 looking for help freeing up storage on his iPhone. He had photos from his side eBay business saved on it and asked the electronics counter worker for assistance deleting a large folder.
According to court documents and coverage from OregonLive, the employee instead told management and later police that he saw roughly 15 to 20 pictures of naked girls who looked about 10 years old or younger, from different ethnic backgrounds, with some of them tied up. The worker also claimed Buckmeyer appeared in some of the images with visible signs of arousal. Target staff pulled the customer’s information from a credit card purchase and license plate video from the parking lot camera, then contacted law enforcement.
The FBI launched an investigation. Agents detained Buckmeyer in the parking lot of his Tigard apartment complex, handcuffed him, searched his home, and took his phone along with other electronics. The probe dragged on for months, and word of it spread to his landlord, business partners, and extended family. It also limited the time he could spend with his young daughter.
Forensics experts later examined the devices and found zero evidence of explicit material or anything like what the employee described. The FBI closed the case without filing charges and returned everything. Independent experts who testified at trial described the phones as completely clean and showing no indication of interest in that kind of content.
Buckmeyer already dealt with a pre-existing heart condition. The stress from the accusation and investigation made things worse. He died of cardiac arrest in April 2019. His girlfriend, Patty Anselmo, the mother of his daughter, said the ordeal weighed heavily on him and appeared to speed up his decline.
Buckmeyer’s estate filed the civil lawsuit in 2019, naming Target and the unnamed employee as defendants. The suit claimed the false report led to intentional infliction of emotional distress. After a five-day trial that wrapped up recently, the jury sided with the family a few days ago and awarded $150,000 specifically for the emotional harm. The money will go to Buckmeyer’s daughter. Attorney Michael Fuller, who handled the case, told reporters the verdict fulfilled Buckmeyer’s dying wish to clear his name and hold the company responsible.

@bigdawgill @therobbieharvey Exactly, why would they accuse him if he was completely innocent? Horrible situation and story. I saw a story similar here in my city where a man has been accused of child abuse, but many are claiming that the child’s mother is lying and trying to get back at him. He’s in jail 🤷🏻♂️

@Sassafrass_84 @Ollia_ll they are planning to stop feeding him. to stop nourishing his body. they will pump him full of pain killers and let him waste away. this is how hospice for these types of patients works. it is inhumane and it shows a complete disregard for human life. i have seen this play out.
