Not having a go at Non League football, but... Should the National League Play Off Final be played at a smaller venue??

Arsenal aren’t even that good. Just goes to show how poor the league is and if fact European football. Genuinely wouldn’t take a lot for spurs to be challenging for top 4 next season. Sounds mad but that’s the truth. Awful quality.

Why is drinking alcohol during the working day treated as acceptable for MPs? Yes, Parliament can involve long days. But so do 13-hour hospital shifts as doctors. A doctor drinking alcohol mid-shift would face serious consequences, and rightly so. MPs vote on decisions that affect millions of people. The public should be able to expect the same basic standard: sobriety at work. One rule for them, another for everyone else.

@CJ93NFFC It’s the opposite to woke nonsense. 70’s to early 90’s pitches were more natural. Proper state and muddy but had more give. This is just the truth

Some cocky Spurs fans on here. Between your win against Palace and win against one of the worst PL teams of all time, we’ve had literal humans travel to another planet and back. Stay humble. #NFFC #THFC #LUFC #WHUFC

This guy is such a fanny. Embarrassing he represents spurs fans. Part of the problem we are in this mess. Should of used his platform to force levy and Enic out years ago, but was too busy sucking them off

@ben_bowman_ Maybe. More to do with the hardness of all pitches IMO. Affects all clubs. a lot of ours have been done away from home.

What is the actual likelihood that our retractable pitch is a factor causing these injuries?

Pitches are too hard these days. That’s what’s causing these injuries for all teams IMO. People laugh at the state of the pitches in The 70’s and 80’s but there was a lot more give in the ground. Would be interested in a proper study.

Never been so sure we are going down. Think it’s done. What actually amazes me is the acceptance of it from spurs fans. There should be riots, the directors box stormed. A proper nasty atmosphere. But there is literally nothing.

@InvertTheWing He was never any good. Can’t think of 1 stand out moment. Like so many stayed at the club far too long. Remember saying he wouldn’t shine in league 1. Guess we will find out. Bang average nothing footballer

Harry Winks downfall makes me sad, to be honest. Went from dominating prime Real Madrid to getting back to back relegations, and will probably be playing in League One. The perfect DLP, tempo controlling player that England needed beside Declan Rice.

THFC should be a case study and a warning to the UK as a whole. Too much empathy leads to absolute destruction. You need to act before it’s too late, violence if needs be. It really needs to come to that. My thought of the day.

Some headline numbers from Chelsea FC Holdings, BlueCo's and Holdco's full accounts for the year ending June 2025. CFC Holdings declared a pre-tax loss of £262.4m compared to a profit of £128.4m for the prior year. The shift is "primarily due to a profit on the sale of a subsidiary [hotel sale] of £198.7m recognised in the prior year". Revenue increased by £22.4m year-on-year, but cost of sales and administrative expenses rose by £117.4m. This is noted as a mitigating factor for the scale of the loss. It is primarily attributed to increased amortisation and impairment on player registrations, increased cost of sales including player wages, and costs related to regulatory matters, including the £26.5m settlement with UEFA. Chelsea's wage bill is up from £294.6m to £312.8m. Intangible assets have increased to £1.05bn from £1.04bn. This is due to £305.5m of player acquisitions including Liam Delap, Mike Penders, Dário Essugo and Mamadou Sarr. This was offset by total amortisation impairment losses of £230.3m and the disposal of player registrations with a combined net book value of £67.9m. CFC Holdings made a net profit on player trading of £57.9m but that was down from £152.5m in 2024. The main sales referenced are Conor Gallagher, Bashir Humphreys, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Ângelo. After the reporting date, six Chelsea men's football players were signed at an initial cost of £263.3m. 15 players were sold at a profit of £31.8m. BlueCo's net loss for the year, after taxation, was £619.0m compared to £402.6m in 2024. The declared pre-tax loss number is £630.1m compared to £430.3m in 2024 and is noted as driven by investment in CFC, CFCW and Strasbourg. For the 2024/25 tax year, BlueCo reported revenue of £536.5m. It is also confirmed that Alexis Ohanian's 776 Chaos Fund paid £18.5m for a 7.6% stake in Chelsea Women split via two share purchases. Based on that number, 776 valued Chelsea Women at £243.4 million. CFCW declared a loss for the year before taxation of £17.1m compared to £8.4m in the prior year. Turnover increased by £9.8m, offset by an £18.6m increase in operating costs. Strasbourg declared a loss for the year before taxation of £65.8m compared to £12.3m in the prior year. Turnover for the year at the Ligue 1 club decreased by £24.2m, down from £57.7m, largely due to reduced broadcasting revenue and the partial closure of the stadium for part of the reporting period. The overall HoldCo pre-tax loss is £700.8m (up from £473.2m in 2024) and is adjusted to £689.7m post-tax. It is also noted that there is £23.3m compared to £4.3m in 2024 of accruals and deferred income representing amounts that are due to settle ongoing legal matters. This includes £18.0m (€21.0m) under a settlement agreement relating to UEFA's Financial Sustainability Regulations, which concluded during the financial year.
