Wait until the antivaxers learn mRNA is actually already inside their body and is required for all life to exist... No vaccine is risk free, but mRNA vaccines pose no unique risk just because they use mRNA. Thats nonsensical...

Doctor refused to treat a transgender woman, sparking major backlash. The gynecologist declined to examine the 26-year-old patient, saying he only treats “real women.” He later added that “a cavity is not a vagina” and claimed he was neither trained nor qualified to treat transgender women. The patient was turned away, and the doctor later doubled down on his comments online. His remarks triggered national outrage and reignited the debate over medical ethics, patient rights, and discrimination. Good for that doctor.

Remembering how when my Mum left, my Dad still didn't learn to cook or do anything else she'd been doing solo all those years. I quickly taught myself to cook at age 10, using books from the library, as soon as I realised that every meal with my father was going to be a bag of frozen sausage rolls, plain toast, or nothing at all. By 13, I was cooking meals for him too. And that's how male incompetence trains women.

For the record: There are no Trans women in the WNBA. There are no Trans prospects projected to join the WNBA. These are straw man arguments from people who are using a hot button issue to flex their bigotry muscles. They don't actually watch women's sports.

Today I tried training a local model. Sol refused, then OpenAI blocked my API access, no warning, explanation, or transparency. Grok and Kimi K3 did it. You call yourselves OpenAI, praise open source in public, then punish paying users for open source work. I hate hypocrisy.

You know, if they called them Puberty Pausers, there would be less TERFs pearlclutching. I kid you not, the average TERF truly and 100% believe that kids on Puberty Blockers never have a puberty.

"She committed this crime on the day her husband left the house for 1/2 hour to get groceries because she seemed to be doing better." See, this is what gets me. She waited until her husband was gone to kill her children. Andrea Yates did the same thing (and also chased down her oldest son who wanted to escape). If you are *really* crazy, you try to kill your children while your husband is in the house. The fact that you wait until he's gone means you are PLANNING. You WANT to kill your kids. Yes, you're nuts. But there's awareness there, and I have zero compassion.
Eva Basilion@EBasilion

Right now, there is a trial happening in Boston that is being televised where a mother with postpartum psychosis killed her 3 young children before slashing her own wrists and jumping out of a second floor window, which ended up paralyzing her from the waist down. Her psychosis took off after the birth of her 3rd child, right before she was scheduled to return to work as a labor and delivery nurse. She was being treated with medication, daily appointments with her doctors and a stint at McLean Psychiatric Hospital. She is the one who begged for help. She committed this crime on the day her husband left the house for 1/2 hour to get groceries because she seemed to be doing better. The fact that this woman is on trial when she was clearly out of her mind is unconscionable. The fact that she, her husband and even the first responders are being forced to relive the event is also unconscionable. One of the jurors asked to be removed because he couldn’t handle it. Out of all the things though, the most unconscionable of unconscionable things is the way we treat mothers and their babies in this country. From @taprootbirth “Postpartum depression is a condition affecting the neurotransmitters in a person's brain. It is also caused by lack of presence, care and community. In many traditional cultures it is taught that a new mother should never be left alone with her babies. She needs the co-regulation of wise women/people. She needs grounded humans who feed her, make sure she is hydrated, clean her sink, brew her tea, ladle her soup, and play with her other children. Someone to sit with her, share stories, and make her laugh. Help her remember she is human. A mother who is left alone with her babies postpartum has the cognitive impact of a person who has survived war. Her body thinks she has been abandoned by her community.” If there is something good to come out of this, let it be the end of the expectation that caregiving is something that we consider as a last priority after all the other things. Because it’s fucking time.

This is so hilarious. Most girls bring home a boyfriend and hope he survives the parents. This one brought home a liberal… and just sat there eating while he slowly realized the entire table already voted Trump. Including her. The second he said “you love Kamala,” you could watch his soul leave his body. Some women don’t water themselves down to keep a man comfortable. They let the truth walk in and pull up a chair.

A woman got permanently banned from a Starbucks in Austin for harassing me for using the female restroom. I’m becoming more passable 18 months in nonetheless, but this was sobering. The gender-critical person got kicked out, not vice versa. How’s that war on trans going?

@MartinMLynch @alpaysh The Tao gives birth to One. One gives birth to Two. Two gives birth to Three. Three gives birth to the myriad of all things. All things have their backs to the yin and stand facing the yang. When yin and yang combine, all things achieve harmony. -- Tao Te Ching, ch 42

Imagine the universe as undifferentiated, meaning there is no notion of two things being different than each other. Difficult to do. But that removes the necessity for boundaries of any kind (including time). When that undifferentiated universe encounters us we act as OR gates, introducing differentiation: before the universe encounters us, there is no state. While encountering us, it has a state, and differentiation emerges (or, put another way, infinite potential collapses to absolute certainty). Since we are OR gates, we can't fathom the undifferentiated state - we think in terms of boundaries defining things: a thing is this or not this; a thing is this until it crosses this edge where it is no longer this; everything is contained in something. The universe at large is not so encumbered. So it isn't "in" anything because the idea of "in" does not exist for it, just for us.
