Looks like there is a mosque right near the school, and these may be congregants. But the alarm from my constituents is understandable amidst the almost daily protests and emboldened public displays of antisemitism across our city which have blurred the line between provocation and genuine acts of religious faith. We shouldn’t have to live like this! PS: it’s not lawful to obstruct sidewalks!!!
We have a need for SPEED! 🏃♀️ We’re here with @NYCMayor, @DMLeilaBozorg, @dmjuliakerson and many other agencies to announce the SPEED report. It lays out our plan to build affordable housing faster, and speed up the housing lottery to help New Yorkers move in sooner.
It was great to join @nycmayor, @dmjuliakerson, agency leaders & advocates to share our SPEED actions today - tackling the permitting hurdles that housing faces and cutting months or even years from the affordable housing timeline. New Yorkers can’t wait for more housing.
Yet another one of these events planned at City Hall this week. Particularly tone deaf after the violence we’ve seen directed at synagogues and Jewish neighborhoods over the past few days, but they REALLY want to make sure we understand who’s in charge now.
