@grouchydiogenes @KapoorAviral Not really true , because significant Indo Greek relations were already set-up, Greco Buddhist statues and Architecture date as back as 300 BC, the original replier never meant Indians are genetically or Racially closer to Greeks.

Greek presence in those areas was both limited in numbers and time. There would be very little common genetic ancestry between some Iranian, Afghan and Pakistani populations and Greeks. On the other hand, we had a significant Celtic population move to Anatolia in 278 BC that permanently settled there and there were further interactions between Greeks and Celts during Roman times, the Varangian guard, etc.
