@MikeCunningham @ZCupples Likely you have retroverted hips so your natural/normal position is to turn out. Trying to turn in won’t help and could cause problems. It is how you are built. No exercise will help. Ignore it and just go with it!!

@ZCupples I toe out. So bad that when I recognize it and turn toes in to 'nornal' it hurts/feel awkward in my knees. Have examples of exercises to add in weight room?

Feet direction when walking reveals lower body mobility. Toeing out limits hip internal rotation; toeing in limits external rotation. This changes foot posture. Regain hip motion for foot mobility: squat for high arches, hinge for flat feet. #physicaltherapist #strengthcoach

A 2023 study sheds light on the impact of running on knee health. 📊 The study, involving 7,194 runners and 6,947 non-runners, has revealed intriguing findings on knee osteoarthritis development. 🔴 Runners: Average age: 56 years, Follow-up: 56 months 🆚 🔵 Non-Runners: Average age: 62 years, Follow-up: 100 months 📈 Results: A. Non-runners experienced more knee pain compared to runners. B. Despite one study indicating a higher prevalence of osteophytes in runners, overall, no significant difference was found in knee osteoarthritis or cartilage thickness on MRI. C. The progression to knee replacement due to osteoarthritis was lower in runners (2.6%) compared to non-runners (4.6%). 🏁 Conclusion: Running does not worsen knee osteoarthritis signs in the short term and might even act as a protective factor against knee pain.
