@Jyojo_B @ShaiHussain You’re not imagining it. My last short was shown at 16 festivals in total and won awards. Only 2 of those were UK festivals. It’s not that the talent isn’t there, POC are actively being rejected.

@ShaiHussain @AshGadhvi You have every right to be pissed off. There is a history of the UK creative industries not acknowledging the talent of their POC creatives. Take the opportunities where they arise abroad. Once that recognition comes, the UK usually sits up and takes notice too!

4 out of 4 rejections from UK-based film festivals on #TheWavingMan now. I feel my efforts are being wasted here. My last film played in New York and Vermont but wasn't accepted anywhere in the UK. Thought I'd focus on home turf to network, but proving pointless.

The Transfer Deadline day done... & for the first time in a long time, very demoralised by the lack of activity at #LFC. I realise we did very little business before our title winning season, but when you compare us to our rivals’ squads, we’re fourth at best in depth & quality.
