@Doublepulses wouldn't that mean we'd have the cable->streaming issue we are currently facing? where we used to have 1 cable bill with 100 channels but now we are paying for 30 different streaming services with 30 different bills? did i understand you?

People will take a question or a simple statement, twist it in a way that matches a narrative they have in their head about you and assume the worst. “The big bad corporations made you ask that question. How dare creators be greedy… 😤 “ When it comes to the sponsorship stuff though. I’ve thought of a few solutions that would take courage from a lot of creators to implement. Pay for your own hosting, launch your own on demand video platform free of ads, but backed by the community through merch, donations and sales. Moving them from YouTube where they are less distracted is the idea. Offer other creators to sponsor themselves who want to jumpstart their careers.

i asked one question and people are telling me i need to kill myself. literally. i woke up to this having millions of views and DMs calling me a "dummy". while this was happening online, i was out in the world living my life... clueless. i'll leave it at that.

this whole trend has me realizing there aren’t photos of me this young as a kid my family was probably too poor to afford a camera, and this is why i never developed a habit of taking family photos i only have photos of me older than this when digital was cheap or school, etc

Not sure how taking what you explicitly asked in the very public post that’s still available to look back on in case your memory is short, is assuming anything. Do statements and questions not have implications? Are implying things a myth?

@Thunder_Chicken but that currently does not happen with product placement in movies and TV. so should that happen there too? if the character is drinking Fanta for example.

@REDROMINA Personally? I don’t pay for an ad-free experience… I amuse myself by mocking shitty ads and sponsors. Generally, in this case, for someone paying for an ad-free experience, the placement should be disclosed and those works not be suggested. That’s what they paid for, after all.
