Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, says that soldiers of the Pakistani regime, during military operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, target civilian homes with rockets, resulting in the deaths of women and children. He further adds that afterward, the soldiers enter the houses, take away the bodies of those ki!!ed, and demand from the families to provide written statements declaring that the deceased were “t€rrorists.” If the families refuse to do so, they are even denied the return of their loved ones’ bod!es.

Pakistan Rebukes UK Envoy’s Remarks on Border Situation, Cites “One-Sided Narrative” Pakistan has strongly responded to recent comments made by the British Special Representative for Afghanistan, dismissing them as “one-sided” and lacking a deeper understanding of the evolving security situation along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border. In an official statement issued on Saturday, Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said Pakistan had taken note of the British envoy’s social media post but rejected its framing of events as unbalanced. He stated that cross-border militancy and infiltration attempts from Afghan territory have continued despite what he described as Pakistan’s “goodwill gesture” of a temporary pause announced in March 2026. According to the statement, Pakistan has faced repeated “unprovoked” attacks attributed to the Afghan Taliban and alleged militant activity by “Indian proxies operating with Taliban support” inside Pakistani territory. The spokesperson claimed these incidents have resulted in 52 civilian deaths and 84 injuries. Pakistan maintained that it has exercised restraint while responding with “precision strikes” targeting Afghan Taliban positions and alleged militant infrastructure, alongside efforts to block infiltration attempts. The statement further rejected Taliban assertions of civilian casualties caused by Pakistani responses, calling them “lacking evidential credibility.” Warning against what it termed “unwarranted remarks” from foreign officials, the Foreign Office said such statements fail to address the root causes of regional instability and terrorism. Islamabad urged international partners to adopt a more balanced and informed understanding of regional dynamics and reiterated Pakistan’s long-standing sacrifices in the fight against terrorism. Meanwhile, Richard Lindsay, the British Special Representative for Afghanistan, during his visit to Kabul, expressed concern over the escalating situation between Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban.
