@skew3l @xdadevelopers I installed Fedora Workstation on the PC that my nephew uses for gaming at his grandma's house. The only thing that he noticed is that it runs faster now.

@xdadevelopers What's so difficult for Linux users to understand that it's easier said than done to switch to it from Windows because more than half the applications available on Windows isn't available on Linux?

I used Windows my whole life, but after a year on Linux, I'm recommending it to everyone bit.ly/4bkBkMk

@xdadevelopers Windows was conceived as a patch to make DOS look like a Mac. When an origin story is that lame, quality isn't their primary focus.

@nalinrajput23 LOL. This is going to sound crazy, but my first job was at a printing company in the mid 90's. And they wrote short programs in GWBASIC to control the laser printers. And it worked. They eventually moved to Delphi.

@chrisprice @old_screen I worked IT at an office that had a salesman that refused to use Office, even though we provided it. He brought his own copy of Lotus 1-2-3 and WordPerfect.

@old_screen You just made anyone that used a Macintosh with Microsoft Word back in the day feel literal pain. You had to be there to really comprehend the true physical pain that caused.

@toys_retro When we used DOS, we just hit the power strip switch and killed the power to the PC, monitor, and the desk lamp. Worked great.
