Thank you very much @decbell1. I hope so too!

@AshishRavinran really appreciated your piece on CNN on the cricket World Cup and its prospects in US. As a fan of the sport for the past four years, I hope more people in the states find interest in it

🙏🏾 @Ram_Guha for the iconic phrase that was bouncing around my head a lot as I wrote about cricket in America

Ashish Ravinran, originally from Singapore but now living in New York for the last 12 years, is here for today's India match. He's done a documentary, "Chasing Cricket" on the NYPD Cricket program. He was hoping to see Ireland score more runs though. Could be a short day.

Vineeta Sinha's new book 'Temple Tracks: Labour, Piety and Railway Construction in Asia' is out now. Not only does it have a great title, you can download it on Open Access here: #toc" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">berghahnbooks.com/title/SinhaTem… (sharing on her behalf as she's sensibly not on twitter.com!)

Contract signed, so I'm excited to say that my first book will be published with @yalepress @YaleBooks. A history of the NHS, it explains why the service became a key marker of national identity in Britain and why its founding principles survived the twentieth century

Just watched a documentary where Jessica Mitford recalled how she had her appendix removed on the dining room table when she was a kid. The doctor put it in a jar for her, which she then sold to her jealous younger sister for £1, only to have the nanny flush it down the toilet

Graduated from NYU today! Not the Yankee Stadium of normal times, but I'm grateful to my advisors (Guy Ortolano, Julie Livingston, Peter Baldwin), family, friends, and @NYUHistory. Feeling especially lucky to have a PhD, as the first person in my family to go to university
