That this judge has retired without facing any consequences for his rabid hate speech is a permanent blot on the judiciary! The man refused to voluntarily resign---speaks a lot about the troubling erosion of accountability. And also about the kind of individuals being elevated to the Bench. The Collegium failed to act effectively. Parliament failed to ensure that the impeachment process was pursued. The government, too, safeguarded him from any accountability. Yadav will now draw a taxpayer-funded pension, despite conduct that fell far, far short of the basic standards expected of a constitutional court judge.
