@MarkCCrowley Highly sceptical about this.... Ai is the driving force behind layoffs, and it will keep the trend growing until another one is said goodbye to. It's a cold battle for security. And would one come back into this game?

Work isn’t just burning people out—it’s shortening lives. A new tally shows 840,000 deaths last year linked directly to workplace stress. Interestingly, most deaths are #heart related. Strokes, heart attacks and cardiovascular disease make up vast majority. #LeadFromTheHeart #WellBeing #Leadership

@tom_peters @jezpetty @HarvardBiz Or shall I call this trend 'More Success to the Successful'? It can bring in a huge divide which is already happening. One has to think 'Ai' not 'People' just to stay on top consistently. The rest will fit in eventually. A disturbing rat race.

@tom_peters @jezpetty @HarvardBiz 'Tragedy of the Commons' or 'Gold Rush' if we may call it. Who cares about what is right, everybody is doing it and there is a fear of being left out. Sir, a company of 50 people treated well could beat a 15 with Ai. What do you think? I am deeply concerned by this trend!!

@jezpetty @HarvardBiz Hate to wax philosophical, but shouldn’t you invest heavily in people because you are a decent, well brought up individual? (“F the CEO, I’m doing this [investment in people] because it’s the right thing to do.”)

Great leaders are NOT necessarily good at talking. Great leaders ARE necessarily good at listening.

@tom_peters This is a typical behavior, $674 billion to extract fast and the most from technology. What are we wasting by the way? People. I wonder if this will be self-sustaining in the long run.

Alphabet-Meta-Microsoft-Amazon to invest $674 billion. H&R Block lays off 5,000 of their 10,000 employees. Does anything I have said/screamed for the last 48 years make any f-ing sense? (No “there, there” answers, please.

Know your north star well. That's an infinite source of energy. Help your people discover their own north star. And work on aligning the same with the purpose of the organization. That's how we can unleash the full potential of our people. #leadership #northstar

A few simple habits and attitudes can elevate the foundational aspect of leadership: 1.Listening to understand first, not to respond immediately; being fully present when someone is sharing his / her point of view or some concern 2. Sharing about yourself authentically, even if it shows your vulnerabaility 3. Seeking out what your people think of the idea you have shared. It shows you value them and their opinion 4. Care for their welfare #Leadership

Your name is Jim Smith and you are the boss. I want Dave Edwards, who works for you, to say 10 years from now, “That year I worked for Jim Smith was the greatest growth experience of my career.”
