I am 51 and deeply regret not having kids.
I was stringently brainwashed into believing that I should never have children.
I’ve never even been pregnant as far as I know. I was on birth control from age 16 through age 49.

I feel so disgusted with the generational vibe that told us that having kids wasn’t a priority and that being a mom was kind of a lesser path. Dealing right now with someone close to me who completely missed the life she should have had, which would have made her very happy— as a mom of a bunch of kids. She believed the social justice messages and made other choices. Materialistic superficial choices btw. She’s traveled extensively and has fancy appliances and a nice (huge, empty) house — and a bunch of social justice bona fides. She was misled. This isn’t someone who was always a bit salty and never wanted kids. She wanted them, but it seemed lame and selfish and not as important as her SJW pursuits. (Which amounted to what? Nothing. The whole thing was a vibe.) I have the same life advice.

Your opinion on the dangers of co-sleeping would change real quick the first time you have to wrap up a dead 3mo little girl up in her pink elephant blanket after doing CPR on her for 30 minutes because her mom insisted co sleeping was safe and the worst couldn’t happen to her.

In case anyone isn’t aware, Trump is demanding Zambia to hand over its mineral rights by end of day tomorrow or the U.S. gov’t will cut off the country’s access to the AIDS medications that are literally keeping its citizens alive.

Wife and I found an amazing house today on 2 acres of land in a very nice neighborhood. Significant upgrade from our current home/yard/hood.
The kiddos want to veto it because they would have to switch elementary schools. They are in 2nd grade and kindergarten.

The headline says that the costs of Trump’s tantrums are “starting to show”. I don’t think Americans get that for Europeans, the Greenland debacle changed everything. It’s over. No one can trust the US. It’s not because of Trump. It’s because we know your system can’t/ won’t stop him or the next guy after him. And also that there’s enough of you who think it would be ‘cool’ to invade just to rub it in our faces. That’s a good enough reason to never trust you again and make everything far more transactional.

I don't think there is an "argument" against it -- but buying prepackaged food items that are hot at the point of sale is not allowed under SNAP because that would include fast food, and SNAP is for groceries.
