Government's Cruelty! This is a typical case of the cruelty of the Government of Jammu & Kashmir to its poor employees who are EVEN TODAY denied medical reimbursement in treatment of life consuming diseases with the lame excuse of a hospital not being incorporated in the Government's approved list. Every regular employee of the UT Government and the Government-controlled organization/undertaking along with his/her dependent family members is by law entitled to full reimbursement of the specialised treatment given to him at a Government hospital or private hospital if the treatment is not available at a Government or Government approved hospital. Under rules, upto 50% of the estimated amount on the treatment can be paid in advance so that a Government employee or his dependent family member under treatment doesn't suffer any problem. While huge amounts of money are being paid to senior officers and bureaucrats well in advance and without any question, same is being outrightly denied to poor/inferior employees on the ground that a hospital didn't figure in the "Government's approved list". It needs to be clear that incorporating such Government and special private hospitals is the exclusive responsibility of the Government's Department of Finance-- portfolio of the Chief Minister-- not that of a poor junior employee. In this particular case, Deputy Commissioner of Budgam had rejected the medical reimbursement claim of a poor employee whose 10-year-old son had developed a serious neurological condition Ependymoma (WHO Grade II) and had been treated at a hospital outside J&K due to critical nature of the illness. This petitioner has spent an amount of ₹30 lakh on his son's treatment taken on loan from different people. Why should the poor Government employees suffer for the criminal negligence and lapse of the officers of the Department of Finance, in this case Director General of Codes? Chief Minister @OmarAbdullah, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo and Additional Chief Secretary Finance Shailender Kumar should take a serious notice of thus injustice and cruelty, initiate administrative action against the delinquent officers and ensure that all Government and Government-established autonomous hospitals as also all reputed private hospitals across India are immediately incorporated in the J&K Government's approved list so as to ensure that this due relief and Government support is not denied to any poor employee for any lame excuse in future. ---------------------- Medical reimbursement fundamental right to life: CAT dailyexcelsior.com/medical-reimbu… via @dailyexcelsior1

R/sir Booking counter at Tosham SO is operational till 1500 hours. As per report of SPM Tosham, no such instance regarding non booking of articles at 1400 hours occurred in tosham postoffice. In this regard, if complainant have some evidence in support of his/her allegation then please provide with complaint so that matter can be inquired accordingly.
