This is a delicate moment. It’s a new day and yet so many are on edge. Our politics are inflamed, and social media only adds to the anxiety. It seems that @elonmusk made an awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm, not a Nazi salute, but again, we appreciate that people are on edge. In this moment, all sides should give one another a bit of grace, perhaps even the benefit of the doubt, and take a breath. This is a new beginning. Let’s hope for healing and work toward unity in the months and years ahead.

@KnowingBetterYT There were a handful of news articles about the large amounts water used by data centres training AI models (i.e. not using them, theoretically a one-off cost) and that got flattened and flanderised into "[using] AI wastes so much water!" so it's just A Talking Point now

Can someone please explain to me why water consumption is our measurement here?
We're not talking about fracking or space travel. This water is not destroyed. It can be used again for other things.

I don't trust this is in good faith, it would be so easy to argue in bad faith that there's been no Mozart; he was one specific guy in one specific context
