@rangchu123 @Mulgold_tekken I understand that having multiple buttons with the same direction is very powerful, but doesnt pad also have that with the dpad and left joystick. Even if it were to get restricted i dont see how theyd enforce that without heavily restricting pads as well

There has been many discussion about leverless controllers lately.
My opinion is simple.
1.SOCD should only allow Neutral.
2.There should only be one button for each direction, for total of 4 directional buttons.
I think Last Input Priority SOCD and using multiple buttons for the same direction are unfair and bad for balance.
So I thought they would eventually be restricted.
I'm not sure whether Bandai Namco doesn't understand how strong those settings are, or if they've decided to allow them.

@PezzimanFGC @wheredapumpat @Chris_F_22 Thats how i wavedash and kbd lol, conveniently, this one has an extra two buttons surrounding the up button, so i can bind those to left and right respectively and do 2 hand kbds and wavedashes that are super fast with barely any practice lol

I am interested in Tokon because I feel like it will move mountains for the FGC like DBFZ did and bring more overall awareness to what we do. I am also excited that Arcsystem made the game AND they have the PlayStation backing. Arcsystem made a lot of great fighting games like UNI, Guilty Gear, Granblue etc but they didn't have an entity like Playstation funding them, last time they had proper backing it was with Bandai and we got DBFZ and by all accounts it was a MAJOR success. Lastly I will say I am excited for this game for content purposes I feel like tokon is going to be HUGE for content creators in the FGC just like GTA6 will do for gaming creators at large.

I think.... I am starting to realize what people who say "why play fighting games when you get TOD'ed every time you open them up to play mean. Tod to them isn't getting hit with one combo into death, it's getting hit into a combo, oki'ed, looped, sent to the corner, then die.

@DanNaturals_ Folks dont wanna be challenged after getting off of work with the little disposable income they have nowadays bc of the state of the world and these games just give them more work in their free time😭 games that provide instant gratification work better for most.

Been saying it for awhile now but competitive gaming will slowly die out because the average gamer mental. I get in depth with it on stream every now and then but gamers today are not as willing to learn or deal with some friction in these games like they used to.

its so funny seeing these fighting game difficulty complaints because nobody ever does this for anything else. imagine you start throwing fit because you don't immediately beat a chess player who has been moderately playing the game for a few years on your first day.

Im ngl this whole "fighting games are too hard discourse" happened when the new fighting game didn't have any oversimplification of its mechanics or input shortcuts. Which makes me think that those additions to stuff like 2xko and sf6 did help get non FG players into those games.
