In these geopolitically turbulent times, his presence in the European capital sends an important signal about the strength of the EU-India relationship. India is a partner of growing strategic importance for Belgium and for Europe. Today, we agreed to take our bilateral relationship to the next level by establishing a Strategic Dialogue between our two countries. We had a productive exchange on intensifying our cooperation in trade and investment, health, technology and innovation. We also discussed international stability, the security of maritime routes and the need for resilient supply chains. Issues where India's role is indispensable. On Monday, February 9, the @BelgiumMFA organized its first 'China Day', during which we discussed innovation in China and its impact and opportunities for Belgian companies with academia and the private sector. A valuable day of insights and exchange!

🇧🇪🇰🇭Treaty between the Kingdom of Belgium and the Kingdom of Cambodia on the Transfer of Sentenced Persons is signed. This Treaty will allow Belgian prisoners in Cambodia and Cambodian prisoners in Belgium to serve their sentences in their State of origin.

🇮🇳 Energizing conversation in Davos with India's Minister of New and Renewable Energy @JoshiPralhad. India and Belgium are natural allies in the energy transition. We discussed concrete opportunities in renewable energy, green hydrogen, and nuclear technologies including small modular reactors. We already have momentum on the ground: Belgian companies are active in India's energy sector, and our collaboration is moving from planning to action. A valuable exchange on stronger economic ties with Shri Nitin Kumar Yadav, Add. Secretary @DoC_GoI. It was a good opportunity to follow up on the Belgian Economic Mission, discuss structural cooperation such as the Joint Economic Commission and key sectors like #renewableenergy.
