Jonathan Pryce turned down Game of Thrones at first because he wasn’t into the whole swords and sorcery thing… honestly, I wish he kept that energy. He came back for the High Sparrow because he saw “real-world relevance.” And I get it… in theory. But on screen? All that “relevance” was turned into long speeches and slow, barefoot scenes 😭 Like yes, he challenged the powerful… but he also challenged my patience every time he showed up.
