No way Obama or Trump should be on this list. Trump isn't done yet, so I wouldn't be including him anyways because so much could change by the end of his second term, but putting that aside, he hasn't done anything that seems like it's going to be all that historically significant compared to other presidents. For good or bad. To be clear, this isn't a political post. I just love history, and even though it seems extreme right now, this isn't new. We've been far more divided than this before. We fought a war over it, in case everyone's forgotten. But even besides the Civil War itself, the 1790s, the 1850s, the 1870s, the 1920s, the 1960s, this has all happened before. It just seems that way because of social media. I do somewhat understand the bias towards Obama, because whether you like him or not that was the last time the country felt normal. But again, he definitely seems like he'll be remembered as America's first black president than for anything he actually did while in office.
