@esherifftv @asherbphotos The damage is catastrophic. It’s probably worse than even the aerial photos show. Eric Burger just posted that he was told that Never Tell Me The Odds was also damaged in the HIF facility. 😔

Hearing that Blue Origin’s other New Glenn first stage booster, Never Tell Me The Odds, has been damaged. It was inside the nearby HIF facility.

@DJSnM They had a lot of ‘Failure is not an option’ merchandise for sale at the Udvar-Hazy Air & Space Museum gift shop too.

The Kennedy Space Center visitor complex has a lot of merchandise with the phrase ‘Failure is not an option’. A phrase associated with Mission Control at the Johnson Space Center in Houston.

@SciGuySpace It’s possible there will never be a person from the baby boom generation who will walk on the moon.

@esherifftv Amazing! Looks like it made it through reentry without a scratch. or burn mark on it. Hoping they go for a catch next time!

@DJSnM I asked Grok and it said it would end the chain and kill the 16+ million people to prevent it from ever getting exponentially worse.

@AJamesMcCarthy Really having a hard time believing they are going to be able to land something that big on the moon without it tipping over. Then again, we once thought a booster couldn’t be landed on a drone ship so who knows.

There's nothing better than seeing an SLS rocket stage vertical! 🏗️ Technicians at @nasakennedy have completed operations of lifting the largest section of the core stage for NASA’s Artemis III SLS rocket into High Bay 2, where it will be connected to the engine section. I live in Henrietta and I hate how my town has become the “model“ of the cannabis industry in New York. Basically we are now the pot capital of New York State. Our local taxes should’ve gone down substantially instead of being kept flat. Now the town is used to the additional revenue and when it doesn’t materialize.…

I'm thrilled to share this unique collaboration with Artemis Il astronaut @astro_reid. Artemis II was a unique opportunity to get high-quality imagery of the moon, and Reid was gracious enough to capture some special image sets for me during the lunar flyby.

On April 27th at about 10:40 PM GMT, I was in the @Space_Station Cupola and saw something really neat. I was scanning the sky to try to catch a glimpse of the approaching Progress MS-34 vehicle bringing new supplies. Just as we were passing over West Africa, I saw a bright object directly below us, streaking through the upper atmosphere. I saw its tail grow and then split apart into a shower of smaller pieces. I think it must have been some piece of orbital debris or a satellite breaking up as it entered the atmosphere. It was quite a light show!

HAPPENING TONIGHT: The waxing crescent Moon will tag team with Jupiter in the western sky this evening. With clear conditions expected, it should be an easy find just below the tip of the Moon. Also of note, skywatchers later tonight might be able to catch a few Lyrid meteors, if you're lucky!

Earthshine. Artemis II astronaut Christina Koch captured this video of Earth outside the windows of the Orion spacecraft during the second flight day of the mission. Orion was roughly 33,800 miles (54,500 km) away from Earth when @Astro_Christina took this video.

Only one chance in this lifetime… Like watching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos, I couldn’t resist a cell phone video of Earthset. You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him. I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.
