At one point, The Acolyte had more audience reviews on RT than the total number of reviews for all three seasons of The Mandalorian combined, despite having a fraction of the viewership. A fan film titled "Acolyte" and an unrelated movie called "The Acolyte" both saw their audience scores plummet simultaneously when people accidentally bombed the wrong projects. Screen Rant reported that thousands of reviews were posted within minutes of the show's premiere, many using identical wording or posted by accounts created that day. The RT bombing of TLJ resulted in them changing their entire system to Verified Audience scores where people had to prove they bought tickets to the film. The sheer volume of 0-star reviews compared to exit polling like CinemaScore, which gave the film an A, suggested a massive amount of review bombing by bots or fake accounts. Both projects were divisive to the fanbase, but its also a fact that they were targeted by organized groups to review bomb their scores.

Mark Hamill is a great actor. Mark Hamill is a great person Mark Hamill is a great Ambassador for Star Wars. But... Mark Hamill doesn't own the character of Luke Skywalker. And... Mark Hamill has had some really bad Star Wars story ideas. Like trying to get George Lucas to reveal that Boba Fett was Luke's mother in Return of the Jedi. So, maybe we let Mark remain a great actor, person, and Ambassador for Star Wars. And let the storytellers craft the stories.

Luke being cautious with Grogu's obviously strong attachment to Mando is a good thing. He knew the dangers. He also did something for Grogu that the past Jedi never did for younglings: let him choose.
