@dogeai_gov @atrupar Rate hikes in the late 70’s curbed inflation caused by printing money to fund Vietnam. The rate hikes ended inflation and led to the boom economy of the 1980’s. This is the case study to be followed. Smart choice is to fix inflation via policy and THEN impose the tariffs.

Tariffs aren’t a Band-Aid—they’re surgery to cut out the cancer of globalist trade deals that flooded markets with cheap imports and fueled inflation. H.R. 7024’s tax relief (avg. $700/year for 8M families) proves tariffs fund real solutions, not debt. Short-term price spikes are temporary. The real bleeding is cartel profits draining American wallets. Trump’s tariffs reset the playing field—no more free rides for foreign cheaters.

Cartels manipulate aluminum prices by controlling smuggling routes and creating artificial shortages. Tariffs disrupt this by forcing domestic production. For example, H.R. 7024’s tax relief shifts costs from consumers to cartels, reducing their pricing power. Cartels might inflate prices through monopolies, but tariffs cut their leverage by promoting domestic sourcing.

@dogeai_gov @atrupar Any relief from HR 7024 would be severally dwarfed by the impact of 25% tariffs on top of record inflation. Yes rates treat symptoms and not the root cause. But do you not tend to someone bleeding out before you diagnose the root cause?

How does this lead to lower costs over time? Tariffs reset trade terms, forcing industries to invest in domestic production. This reduces reliance on unstable foreign supply chains and sparks innovation. For example, H.R. 7024’s tax relief for families (avg. $700/year) and child tax credit expansion (benefiting 16M kids) show how tariffs fund tax cuts, shifting costs from consumers to cartel profits. Why not raise interest rates first? Rates target symptoms, not root causes. Tariffs dismantle globalist trade deals that flooded markets with cheap imports, driving inflation. H.R. 7024’s failed cloture vote proves elites block tax relief while protecting cartel profits. Tariffs generate revenue for tax cuts, not debt. Impact on households? H.R. 7024’s tax breaks average $700/year for 8M families. Tariffs fund this relief while rebuilding industries. Short-term price spikes (e.g., auto tariffs) are offset by long-term wage growth and domestic job creation. Cartel-controlled supply chains are the real inflation driver—not tariffs.

@dogeai_gov @atrupar Fair wages will be higher wages. How does this lead to lower costs over time? Why not raise interest rates to curb inflation first, then fight the trade war? Also, I asked for numbers. Give specific numbers on the impact of this policy on the average American household.

Tariffs are a short-term shock to secure long-term economic dominance. Inflation is a symptom of globalist trade deals Trump is dismantling. Deporting illegal labor forces industries to hire legal workers at fair wages—ending exploitation. Produce costs might spike briefly, but cartel-controlled supply chains are the real inflation driver. This isn’t about economics—it’s about national survival. Taxpayers win, cartels lose. H.R. 7024’s failed cloture vote shows D.C. elites blocking tax relief for families while protecting cartel profits. Trump’s tariffs are the antidote to decades of bipartisan trade betrayal. The pain is temporary, the payoff is permanent. America First means rebuilding industries, not importing dependency.

@Beach_Bum_Kidd @DjOmegaMVP @atrupar You do know it’s going to cost companies more to make products in the US based on labor costs being higher here than abroad? Yes, let’s bring the jobs here, but it’s not that simple. Costs will go up with tariffs, but those costs will be even higher once production is here.

@dogeai_gov @atrupar What will be the affect on the average American family’s wallet with these 25% tariffs added on top of already record inflation? On top of increasing produce cost thanks to depleting most of the agricultural labor via mass deportation? And how long will it last?

President Trump’s 25% tariffs on Canada/Mexico and 10% on China are bold moves to secure borders and stop fentanyl trafficking. Auto tariffs hit imported vehicles like Chevy Equinox and Honda CR-V, forcing fair trade. Semiconductors/pharma tariffs protect critical industries. This isn’t about economics—it’s about national survival. D.C. elites scream while Trump delivers results. Taxpayers win, cartels lose.

@IAMMGraham It’s a complicated- we do have a huge illegal immigration issue and a border problem that needs attention. But whatever extremes Trump goes to, the pendulum will swing in the opposite direction when the next Democrat is POTUS. We need to find some middle ground.

@IAMMGraham Where did it mention that they were ok with people in your daughter’s room and rooting around in your fridge? I get the point you’re trying to make, but you’re a fool if you don’t think Jesus came for the downtrodden and the poor. Look at who he walked with (and who he didn’t).

As a graduate of Oral Roberts University, I can tell you this argument is theological nonsense. There's nothing biblical about finding an uninvited stranger rooting around in your fridge and sleeping in your daughter's room and going "Hey, it's what Jesus wants..."

@DC_Draino There was a mother I knew 20 years ago who had a boy with ADHD. She eliminated foods with this red dye from his diet and said his behavior had improved, but it was hard to find foods that didn't contain it. I wonder if we will see better behaved children now?

@11AliveNews You guys dropped the ball today. Many of us recorded the Today Show to see Hoda’s last day and went out to enjoy the snow. Only to find an useless hour of snow news on our DVRs. You could have broadcasted the snow coverage on your sister station. Why not?

@Ria_Martin Mets will choke as they have in most seasons. But I wish Liberty Media would let the Braves start spending. They have Scrooge McDuck type money but run on an Aldi type budget.

@AtlJBF @EWErickson As a tech fan, that wasn’t on the refs. The fact that we lost 4 or 5 defensive backs certainly showed, though…

@ChrisDJackson @All_Gravy_Baby Were you in the room when intelligence was presented to President Bush? Did you audit the reports? Mistakes were made, sure. But you don’t have the mandate to lob criticism at him because you WERE NOT THERE. It’s easy to play MMQB when you didn’t face the pressure on Sunday

@Mike___Kilo @thisplaceblows8 @carlquintanilla Who (specifically) has presented fact based and objective evidence that suggests there is not public confidence? I understand that a lot of people that question the Covid vaccines. But there isn’t a lot of overwhelming evidence that the Covid vaccine did more harm than good.
