NEWS: Meta is secretly making BILLIONS from scam ads! Last year Meta made $16 BILLION (10% of all their money) from ads related to scams, illegal gambling & banned stuff. A new lawsuit from the Consumer Federation of America claims Meta knew about all the scam ads on Facebook and Instagram but let them spread anyway. They even charged the scammers extra money to show those fake ads. And the whole time, Meta lied to regular users, saying they were “protecting” them. Americans lose $119 BILLION every year to online scams! They’re being sued for violating D.C. consumer protection laws, and the group is demanding Meta pay back the illegal profits they made from these scam ads. As Americans lose more and more money to online scams, Meta has consistently chosen to prioritize profit over the safety of their users,” said Ben Winters, Director of AI and Data Privacy. One theory I’ve seen floating around is that a major government (like the US) could quietly accumulate BTC and then use its monetary tools to push the price much higher, effectively monetizing it to help manage the national debt. The risk, though, is that once it becomes obvious the asset is being influenced by the state, Bitcoin could lose its core value, true independence. Trust might collapse pretty quickly after that 😆

Really interesting insights Anna. From my view BTC is a programmable assets, created and backed under control of some "3 letter agencies" and it's just a test before the "real" CBDC will come. On the other hand a can also see BTC as a dual sword asset - one that serve as a backbone of new financial system (like gold years ago) but can also be the tool to collapse any system if the system will have majority of control over BTC supply by making the asset worthless. And yes this can be only be done by Satoshi by one click - if there is still access to this wallet. Those are some of the reasons why I will not buy BTC from this cycle on but just trade the BTC price for stables. And further on stables I will turn slowly over time to "hard assets". Just my 2 cents. We still have time to take advantage of the crypto hype but we need to be aware that everyday we a re closera complete shift when it comes to the financial system we know
