What do people see in this book? I'm usually a huge fan of science fiction, but I'm nearly halfway through it now and so far, I'm finding it unbearably dull. I'm thinking of dropping it. Am I likely to get more out of it if I keep going?

@DIYDisclosure It cant be solved, for any form of perception exists within it. All thoughts appear within thoughts, all sensations are within sensations, all have dependent origination, and cessation of all sensations cannot be experienced

@WarSageX Yeah man. Big wtf moment when you realise maditation can be navigated with technical maps. It was for me. Daniel Ingram's book "MCTB" is great on this. Talk to chatgpt about his meditation map theory and Mahasi Sayadaw school of meditation

When you meditate you don't enter another state, you just reveal what was already within.

@cube_flipper Improve. Good to do both. I practice vipassana. Ketamine makes it easier as the mind gets less intrusive. Shrooms and ayahuasca - make the whole map process very articulated, where each phase is visually rich, which can be cofusing or even crushing in the dark jhana area

if you know how to jhana (soft or hard, J1-J4) do you find that serotonergic psychedelics (ps*locybin, LSD, 2C-B etc, low or high dose) impede or improve the process?

Aside from our addiction to charts Where is the most beautiful place you've ever been to? For me it's Lekkerwater Beach Lodge in S. Africa where i was invited during soft opening in 2019, site of the summer residence of ex president de Klerk. The place is just out of this world

If you step back and look at this from "the Hero with a Thousand Faces" POV, you may see that the hero is saved by the Cross, representing the One and True God. You find salvation right at the very edge of it being nearly over for you
