Everything progresses step by step. The argument is straightforward: what we are demanding now is real-time electronic transmission of election results from polling units. Further improvements toward full electronic voting can come later. In the past, physically moving results from one location to another has led to compromises; results have been hijacked, altered, or manipulated. We’ve seen cases where figures were changed and even written over with different ink and we don't know which agent own to believe. The position of the opposition and many Nigerians is simple: Kenya is already implementing real-time transmission of results, which proves it is possible. So why can’t we do the same? All we are asking for is real-time transmission of results directly from polling units. It is doable. Only dishonest politicians would resist a system that promotes transparency and accountability.

@jrnaib2 Atiku should go and rest. Nigeria needs an active leader, not a Dubai-based leader. We already have a London leader, and now a France-based leader is in charge, Nigeria cannot spend another four years with a Dubai leader.

Dear Peter Obi, @PeterObi If no one has taken the time to clearly explain the consequences of your current political path, allow me to do so in simple terms, sir. You are positioning yourself against a sitting president from the South who still has four years left to complete an expected eight-year tenure. At the same time, you have publicly committed to serving only one term if elected and handing over to RMK. Furthermore, if your joint ticket with RMK does not succeed, you would then be expected, by your own logic and the prevailing political arrangement, to support him in 2031, when it would be the North’s turn to produce the president. In practical terms, this means you have effectively narrowed your own window to just one real opportunity: 2027. That is the hard truth. You are, by your own design, placing a strict limit on your political lifespan at the very moment it should be expanding. Politics at this level is not just about ambition, it is about timing, structure, and long-term positioning. By locking yourself into these commitments, you risk stepping out of the race earlier than necessary. If this is a deliberate strategy, then it is a bold one. But if not, then it deserves a deeper reflection.

TO @PeterObi: You did the right thing this morning. Walking out of the ADC took courage. It also took clarity. You named what most Nigerians have been afraid to name — that the same state and its agents that captured Labour Party in 2023 captured the ADC in 2026. Same machine. Different jersey. That is the truth. And you said it out loud. For that, you deserve commendation. Not endorsement — commendation. Because you took a step in the right direction, and steps in the right direction are rare in Nigerian politics. Now keep going. Let APC and ADC split the Caliphate vote between themselves. Let the men who built this cage fight over who gets to sit on the throne. They have the same owners. They will end with the same outcome. You have a different road open to you now. The road of the people. Millions of displaced Nigerians have no voice. Give them one. Make sure they have a vote. Millions are crying for self-determination. Give them a real pathway. Put it on the ballot. Call for a new constitution. Not an amendment. A new one — written by the people, ratified by the people. The 1999 document is a colonial contraption that mentions Sharia 165 times and Christianity zero. It is the scaffolding the Caliphate stands on. Tear it down. Call for a free 2027 election under international supervision. Not INEC. Not the agents who hounded you out of two parties. The world. Do not compromise. The world is watching. Be the champion Nigerians need to end this 66-year nightmare. Sir, you have left the machine. Now join the people and help dismantle it. #EarthShaker

“Nigerian don’t even want 24 hours light, can they even afford 24 hours light ? Nigerians just want to come home at 8pm and meet light so they won’t sweat when they sleep and also meet the light by 7am so they can iron thier cloths and then you can take the light and divert it to where factories are. Nigerians are not asking for much and they’re the easiest people to please. How can this be too much?” - Deji Adeyanju.

The way OAU rejected Peter Obi, that is how South West and other the well meaning, sensible region in Nigeria will reject him at the polls in 2027. Go and mark today’s date. A fraud will be nowhere near the ASO ROCK.

We tracked the Sokoto Badagry Super-Highway from both ends this month, the Lagos axis and Sokoto axis. On the Lagos end, the project is currently within Ogun State, stretching from Diya Gate, OPIC Estate, Agbara to Iyana Idoye, Lusada. Sparse work was observed at Odugbe in Lusada, Ado Odo/Ota LGA. The project terminated at Phase 4, Atan with only one side of the road under construction by Hitech Construction Company Limited. At the Sokoto end in Illela LGA, work was ongoing, bush clearing, sand filling, and site preparation. On the section towards Katami, Silame LGA, Sokoto and in Kebbi State, some portions have been completed with concrete paving and solar lighting installed. Progress is uneven and slow. Now here is what has been committed on paper, FEC has approved contracts worth N2.36tn for the highway since 2024, (N947bn for Kebbi single carriageway in August 2024, N456bn for Sokoto 120km section in October 2024 flagoff and N961bn for Kebbi second carriageway for August 2025). Just 3 days ago, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu sent a fresh request to the Senate for a $516.3m loan from Deutsche Bank, the largest single external injection into this project yet. But the Minister of Works, Senator Engineer David Nweze Umahi, CON admitted in February 2026 that only N210.31bn, 9.7% of expected 2025 capital releases have actually been paid to contractors. Contractors across FMWNG projects are owed N2.2tn for advanced work. Commitments on paper. The total cost of this 1,068km highway alone is projected at over N6.5tn, borrowed money, at a time when Nigeria already spends substantial part of her total revenue servicing existing debt. We urgently call on the Federal Government of Nigeria and National Assembly to; - Properly scrutinize every new loan. - Release funds owed to contractors. - Publish quarterly disbursement reports for this highway. - Scrutinise the $516.3m Deutsche Bank loan terms transparently. Citizens deserve infrastructure and fiscal accountability, not one without the other. #Publicfundsmustforthegoodofthepeople #AskQuestions Tracka

@Riddwane @Riddwane, you can keep denying the reality of the country and where Tinubu has led us since taking office because you’re part of the ruling party, but Nigerians don’t need “Bola glasses” to see what’s happening.

How did we get here? How are APC supporters coping when Tinubu appears to be the Rehoboam of our time, listening to sycophants (friends) instead of the elders (Nigerians who are suffering), while prices and taxes keep rising, bringing hardship and insecurity. ADC and APC

For those that met in Ibadan today to threaten others with "Operation Wetie" is a very dangerous gambit. Their brazen threat has been duly noted but they should consider the consequences of their words and proposed course of action before it is too late. The last time Operation Wetie happened there were no winners or losers. After the turmoil, mass murder, arson, chaos and gratutious violence that was witnessed in the SW two very bloody military coups took place in the country in which hundreds of civilians and military personnel were collectively killed. This was followed by a series of horrific pogroms in the North in which thousands were killled and finally came the civil war in which millions, including children, were killed. Do those that attended the 'Opposition Summit' in Ibadan today really want all that to happen again? Is that why they chose that occassion and that city (which is where Operation Wetie started in 1965) to issue their threat? If so they should retrace their steps because nothing beats peace. Outside of that no-one is intimidated or losing any sleep over their threat and, no matter what they do or say, only the will of the people shall stand in the 2027 elections. (FFK)
