@oliemack @wildstwawberry LotR & FF were more digestible but it does help both sets were pretty great. Some say that if the Spiderman Set was better we would have been more okay with the IP & I don't think that's true after seeing more of this set.
Either way, Reality fracture can't come fast enough!

@wildstwawberry I can kind of take the fantasy crossovers but the marvel stuff is awful. This set in particular is so messy and clearly designed with a priority on fealty to the IP and not magic gameplay.

@Dageekydude @AgyemanaR Always kept your pants though! I imagine there was some sorta rule about keeping those on account of Jackman's likeness or something.

@AgyemanaR Origins only did it when you upgraded or reached certain checkpoints you could end up looking shirtless even when your injuries were gone

One thing that I don't dig(it's just a nitpick) is when he regenerates, it seems that his whole suit fixes itself? And then when he gets covered in blood, the blood disappears after a couple of seconds. Not gonna deter me from playing, though The game looks sick

@AgyemanaR I know, I just really wish they'd do better than the game that released 17 years ago since these *are* the default suits right?
It's just sorta lame since this is his only power (I doubt heat claws will show up lol) so the depiction of his main power is important.

@AgyemanaR I see folks talking about the classic costumes regenerating but weren't those just easter eggs/dlc? Even so, still seems like they should have done better in that regard for a game releasing 20 years later.

@AgyemanaR Didn't in the Uncaged Edition didn't his clothing stay tattered? Like IIRC, the pants were unable to be damaged but by the end of level his top was totally destroyed.

@DarkIxion I wish they went as hard with the character model destruction as the X-men Origins game did back in the Aughts. Seeing your costume/clothing get destroyed as the level went on was cool, seeing the costume heal feels lazy.
Otherwise it looks interesting & I'm excited about it.

@CoachMillsOW He dies way too easy for him to be viable plus it sorta fails to fulfill the power fantasy of being Iron Man.
Imo he needs more opportunities to get bonus shields like on his overdrive ability. Maybe add them to the missiles or something so folks have a reason to use them.

@lokinuenly Deadpool is hilariously good vs dive. Just swap to swords and melee them while using your AOE self-heal. And if you're somehow losing (say you didn't swap from guns fast enough so they have a head start on your HP bar) just dash away & functionally reset the fight.

Ultron is great if you have decent aim, since he can usually just dodge & kill the diver but you need a buddy in the back to drone for self healing or else he'll lose to a decent spidey but can handle most other divers.

@Dignika @xtracombatphase Bad faith? I agree lands are part of the game & adds to the game's flavor but it's disingenuous to think people might not dislike that part of the game.
It's okay if the mana system is your favorite part of the game too, but I think it's worth hearing out the folks who don't.

@AtomiskX @xtracombatphase I will never understand the beef people have with lands. Having dead draws is a good thing. There is a reasons magic is played in best of 3 to smooth out variance. The game works. Pretending it doesn’t it’s just bad faith.

The worst magic draft environment is better than games like one piece or sorcery by a gigantic margin. Not that those games are bad, they’re all actually fun!! But pretending like Magics ruleset is somehow secretly bad is crazy work.

Can we PLEASE get over the Magic Supremacy bullshit? Magic is the Bitcoin of TCGs. There are a ton of games that do things better than Magic does but it was the first so it has the most traction. If Magic wasn’t 1st there’s a strong argument that it wouldn’t have lasted.

@imbecileperson @xtracombatphase Either having a dedicated deck of resources or using cards from hand as resources all seem like they solve the issue.
However, I understand that the interplay of lands & spells in your deck is crucial to the identity of MTG & I don't expect or even advocate they change it.
