I'm asking those who love the outdoors to post a picture. A picture that YOU took. Just a pic. No description. The goal is to regain peace and harmony without negativity. Please copy the text, put a picture on YOUR page, and let's look at these beautiful pictures. Here's mine:

@AtyAdejo @Mochievous Cultural resistance ke. People just don't know much about solar. With what the average Nigerian on Twitter tweets weekly, I can tell the vast majority, both educated and uneducated don't know jack. The 'engineers' they consult aren't any better. You don't even need so much.

Ironically, the place that finally convinced me of solar wasn’t some fancy expensive set up. It was a town in the mountains in Northern Pakistan surrounded by rural villages where many people relied on solar for their electricity source as hydro sources are frozen during winter

@AtyAdejo @Mochievous He got the info because I and his kids as university students at that time was telling him about it cos we were burning like 20liters daily and we know he could afford it. Instead, baba copped a Mikano. This was like 2009 ish. Na like2021 the Man finally did the solar.

Peace died the cruelest of death. She wasn’t sick. Full of life. She went for Thursday church service and was crossing a road she had crossed countless times just in front of her church. She was knocked down by a convoy of vehicles driving recklessly on top speed. The cars on the convoy took turns to run over her. Each smashing the promising life out of her and when they were done, her structures were left in ruins. Her killers sped off without an iota of conscience. She wasn’t even given the slightest of chance to contemplate survival. How much cruel can life be… Rest well peace. But may people that have hand in ur death never find rest

😃😀 sounds like a cultural & knowledge problem Tbvh most Nigerians don't like easy solutions (despite all the talk of 'soft life') We generally love hard & strenuous lives Solar energy is relatively an easy solution so I feel that's a reason many Nigerians & Africans avoid it Your uncle (like many other Nigerians) decided not to get more info by himself I saw a house in a deserted area using tiny wind mills to generate power, I knocked on the gate & spoke with them about it & they were happy to give info Most Nigerians don't do that

@Mochievous @AtyAdejo It’s a resistance that comes with sticking to what they know. My Uncle who was a director in a Federal government parastatal didn’t do solar in his house for over 10 years from when we first told him about it until he saw it in action at the home of his Superior.

@Mochievous Alot of very wealthy Nigerians who can go 80-100% solar, refuse to do so (even while spending more on generators) Those without the funds aren't even in this conversation I think there might be a cultural refusal to solar by many Nigerians

Our power system is broken and needs to stand up. We also have abundant sunlight. In places like Australia where they have a working system, solar is a hobby at this point because they have the sun. Surely we can hold two truths simultaneously. Kalas

Ozoro: It’s fertility festival, not rape festival Residents of Ozoro community in Isoko North Local Government Area have moved to clarify widespread misconceptions surrounding the traditional Aluedor festival, insisting it is an age-old fertility rite and not a “rape festival” as portrayed in viral social media videos. “It is a fertility festival. Women who have not given birth participate by performing symbolic acts, including pouring sand on their abdomen, praying for children. This has been the tradition from our forefathers.” vanguardngr.com/2026/03/ozoro-…
