@tetsuaki_hamano @techjewel @courtneyr_dev I think you can not do anything. The dotorg Profile system has only one Employer field, and you are not using it at all.

@AudrasJb @techjewel @courtneyr_dev Is there anything I can do now to fix this problem? I was just concerned that the names of the two companies (LOOS, Hostinger) that are sponsoring me are nowhere to be found 😅

My username is wildworks. Although only one company is listed, I am sponsored by three companies: LOOS, Hostinger, and Kinsta. I would be happy if this is fixed 🙏 profiles.wordpress.org/wildworks/

@techjewel @courtneyr_dev @tetsuaki_hamano This is going to be very hard to automatize since in Wildworks case, these sponsors are mentioned in the profile description, not in the Employer field.

@TheNicheWhisper @jdevalk @photomatt @automattic I’m not Trynity to defend Matt. He made a lot of wrong decisions and bad communication in the last couple months. But he clearly earned the rigth to lead a major release. He triaged a huge bunch of tickets in WordPress early days, and created this CMS and its infrastructure.

@bmercusot Hello, nope pas d'api, le calendrier de chaque release est dans la page dédiée de la version : make.wordpress.org/core/6.7/ Tu peux pas le savoir à l'avance pour les versions de l'année prochaine par exemple, car ces dates sont décidées en début de cycle de la version :)

@JavierCasares @photomatt I'm mainly speaking about .org communication issues and lock downs for contributors (both banned or prevented to login). I hope we can separate Automattic issues from WordPress ones so we can be a community united on making WordPress better, again. For a better web.

@JavierCasares Probably not on Oct 21, since it'd probably be too soon for the new Exec. Dir. of .org to step in this complex situation. But we may expect .org issues to be solved the next few weeks as we get a new leader who can help make this community reunited. What do you think @photomatt?

#WordPress #WPdrama What I expect to happen in the next few days: On Monday, the 21st, Mary Hubbard starts and can put a wall between Matt and the Community (.org). - Access to all blocked contributors is restored, both in Slack, and on Twitter. - The login access checkbox is removed. - The obligation to buy a ticket to a WordPress Event requiring a user access is eliminated. - I have doubts about the ACF/SCF. In any case, although debatable, I do not think it is necessary to restore the community (for now). If these things happen, which indirectly assumes that Matt will focus “on his company stuff” and leave the Community and the Project aside, I think most contributors will actively participate again. But this depends on that vet power that can be applied. If at least the first 3 things on the list don't happen, I think we're already going to mid-January. Why? In mid-November WordPress 6.7 comes out, and I doubt that anyone will start setting up equipment for WordPress 6.8 immediately, for one thing because from late November to early January holidays begin in many parts of the world where most of the contributors are. Add to that, that people will want to get out of the current noise and will want to temporarily get away from the project and rest (which I recommend to everyone, including myself). This means that we are going to early mid January which will be when the 6.8 equipment will be assembled, which also means a delay in the launch date, which would not be in February-March, but in April-May (which would probably lead to only two releases in 2025). And this is where we will really have to see how everything is in general, how is the legal part, how many contributors there are (and if there are not, how Automattic will supply them)… I sincerely hope that the first step happens because if it doesn't, this whole process and the next releases will be uphill.
