The future of agriculture in Nigeria lies in the hands of the youth but, they must first be encouraged to show interest in agriculture.

There is one lesson to learn from this. And that is, that there is only one humanity, feeble, puny and fragile under one God, who, according to prophet Isaiah, hides himself from our arrogant eyes. 4/4

Is there any lesson to learn from this? Here is a tiny virus, too tiny for the human eye to see, making nonsense of all our arrogance, of power and claims of invincibility. 3/4

The Corona Virus. Whatever the cause or source, for some mysterious reason we are in trouble. Virtually all nations on earth, big or small, black or white yellow or brown lies prostrate in fear. 1/4

I wish the President, the new cabinet and all Nigerians the best of luck. We shall stay together, pray and work together to make Nigeria a success story. Thank you all.

I urge you to give your cooperation to our successors in office. We need to build this sector. I want to say finally, that last year, Nigeria made $30billion from oil but Holland, a country of 17 million people made $90billion from food exports. If Holland did it, we can do it.

I would like to first of all appreciate the @NGRPresident, @MBuhari for bringing us in, in October 2015 to join him in running this country. In the past three and half years, with my colleague, @DrLokpobiri, we have put our energies into building a strong agricultural economy.

The recharging of the Lake Chad is a priority for us, and we would like Qatar’s support, as it is not a project that the concerned countries can handle alone. Recharging the lake will bring back fishing, farming, animal husbandry, and help tackle insurgency and illegal migration.

Today, I chaired the kick-off meeting on the restructuring and recapitalization of the Bank of Agriculture. This new arrangement is a crucial step we are taking to bring BOA to life and to make it a very potent instrument that will make the Agric sector of our economy stronger.
