今天试了新出的语义搜索工具 WarpGrep，发现 augment code 在语义搜索方面还是神一样的存在。
索引与检索机制直接决定了工具的搜索速度。目前的主流 AI 编码工具中，代码检索大致分为两类：即时 grep 搜索和向量搜索：
1. 即时 grep 搜索
Claude Code、Codex CLI、CodeBuff、Factory Droid 等工具在需要时即时扫描文本。它们通常调用高性能文本搜索引擎（如ripgrep）来保证速度。对于中小型项目，这种方式能在秒级返回结果。然而在超大项目上，多次重复 grep 开销会累积，而且会受限于模型处理大量结果的速度 。多轮交互的耗时也被 grep 返回的大量无意义文本拖慢 。因此，Claude Code 和 OpenAI Codex 在稍大点的项目里，就算处理个小问题也非常啰嗦，耗时很久。
2. 本地索引/语义向量
Cursor、Windsurf、Qoder、Augment 等工具在打开项目时就预先扫描并索引代码库。这类索引过程第一次运行几十秒到几分钟不等，但一旦索引完毕，查询响应非常快（通常几百毫秒到3秒内）。值得一提的是，Cursor 和 windsurf 会同时使用 grep 以取长补短 。
Augment 通过后端集群和高效向量搜索，即使数十万行代码的上下文分析也能在几秒内完成。Amp Code 表现也不错，这也是我目前还在使用这两个工具的原因。
我在一个较大的项目里问一个“登录流程是怎实现的？”，Augment 3 秒返回了结果，claude code 分析了将近 5 分钟，但结果是正确的。WarpGrep 表现也不错，在 5 秒内返回了结果，但花费了更多的 token。cursor 我目前没有订阅了，但看社区的反馈效果不如 augment ( linux.do/t/topic/1159633 )。
