As 2023 marks the 30th & 42nd anniversaries of the adoption of the Paris Principles by UN General Assembly & the adoption of #AfricanCharter respectively, today was dedicated to taking stock of the status of African NHRIs, incl. reflection on achievements & challenges faced.

Amb @Bankole, in his opening remarks at the 6th AU & #NANHRI Policy dialogue, stated that it is critical that we situate the political rights without forgetting the compelling right to development for all citizens, especially the vulnerable.
