The Wire is the most literary TV show ever made It has the themes, depth, and scope of a Pulitzer Prize-winning novel. Other shows might be more entertaining or popular, but none have the narrative and thematic craftsmanship of The Wire. Not Sopranos, not Breaking Bad, etc.

@BlueBoxDave That’s a bizarre (and misguided) theory. I have lost multiple friends and family over the past few years to fentanyl, meth and heroin. Not a single one of them got addicted because a hospital “forgot to lock up the drugs”. He clearly hates Vance. Would be easier to just say that.
