@LULU6kat Hey, so, demo cartridges exist in very small numbers. Testers involved could post them back for updated builds but this was all revolving around mechanical feeling tests.
Officially on the back burner. However I do still pick away slowly, it'll release eventually (2052?).

If all I get from this is the ability to edit tiles and maps in 1 piece of software and it exports them to my game, I'm considering this a week well spent.

@0xbbbbbr ...I've broke ground anyway. Making it fully portable is another big consideration.

@AurorasArcade If you're working in asm for the gameboy then have you tried rgbgfx combined with a modern pixel art editor and tile based map program?
We've done a lot to improve gbdk's pipeline for maps, tilesets and metasprites in the last few years, but the output is C centric.

I think about the issues surrounding asset pipelines naturally at least once a week and every time I export any tile/map/sprite.
#gbdev deserves to be brought into the modern era.

Looking for anyone in the #gbdev / #gameboy #homwbrew scene who may know about some better tooling for assets than GBMB and GBTD. I'm working in assembly so z80 export support is nice to have. Layers would also be very Useful. If not I might need to roll a quick GB Photoshop 😬

@0xbbbbbr It's good utility but my goal is having a full CI/CD pipeline for assets. I want to hit save, package and load everything and check it straight out in a build.
There's some other bits too with how I want the project structured in terms of assets that this doesn't provide...
