On Anzac Day we acknowledge the courage and sacrifice of our current and former service personnel, and those who lost their lives in conflict. We also acknowledge our allies who served alongside them. They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. As dawn breaks across the world this Anzac Day, Australian Embassies, High Commissions and Consulates pause to commemorate. From ceremonies in PNG, Japan, London and Jordan, we remember those who lost their lives. Lest we forget.

Today, on ANZAC Day, we remember and give thanks for the service of all of our Defence Force personnel. It was an honour to join the Dawn Service at South Australia’s War Memorial to pay tribute to those who have fallen in the service of our nation. Lest we forget.

One of the traditions during #AnzacDay commemorations is the Gunfire Breakfast. Before the Gallipoli landings, ANZAC soldiers had a simple meal accompanied by gunfire & a shot of rum. This tradition persists to this day after Dawn Services as communities gather, share & remember.
