If you think the crude market is being manipulated lower I would suggest you start moving barrels. This is a huge opportunity that anyone can take advantage of today. It's very easy. First call your bank (JP Morgan debit card support 800-881-3166) and ask for a credit limit increase to ~$300 million. Then get in touch with an upstream producer (EOR IR eog_ir@eogresources.com) and schedule a loading. Assuming you want size so 2 million barrels should be enough. The lifting date you can just say "tomorrow". Finally, you just need to charter a tanker. There's no Uber for tankers yet so this might be a bit of work. If you just show up at a Clarksons office though they won't be able to turn you down. Unless you're taking flat price risk you'll just need to hedge your exposure so you can just short like $200 million of Brent swaps on Robinhood or something. But now you have a FOB cargo that is all yours. Just float it on water for 50-60 days ($300k/day, maybe more) and then sell it into Asia in a few months. You'll need to find a buyer, so post an ad for your oil on Craigslist or Kijiji something ahead of time to make sure people know it's for sale. Boom, just like that you'll have pocketed $50 million with no risk at all. It's very safe money pretty much the same as bonds.

Putting aside the fact that the effects of the war to date will last several months, let's just do simple math. They're paying $150/bbl for regional crude today. That doesn't just drop in a month. You can charter a ship to take you Brent or WTI at a 33% discount price for next month? Ummm yeah... you would do that all day every day.

The best time to build a pipeline was ten years ago, the next best time is now. We must build new pipelines West, East, North and South –without delay, and without hesitation – to supply Asian and European markets with safe, reliable, and responsibly produced energy products.

The belly of this ship holds $250 million of LNG. It should be Canadian. When I unblock our resources, it will be Canadian.

A new low for @WestJet joking we had landed in Edmonton not calgary because of a snow storm. Not hinting it was a joke. Beyond stupid. No internet most of the flight from US either. Embarrassed it has West in the name.

Another brutal experience with @WestJet not only leaving us in Atlanta for a day but having no staff available. If it wasn’t for the efforts of @Delta we still wouldn’t be headed home. @WestJet has let all Canadians down and no long has the values of its founder Clive Beddoe.

2/2 Avoid the Bowfort Road and Stathcona locations as owner is not honest. I hope this didn’t affect too many people - but he told me they put 20000 litres through on Sep 7, so that’s a lot of cars. @petrocanada ashamed your company has our country name in it #badgas #dieselingas

1/2 follow up to my post last week- despite having diesel in their regular gas tank , @petrocanada has denied any wrong doing . This caused us considerable cost. They do not stand behind their product or processes and I recommend gassing up elsewhere. This is a dishonest company

@petrocanada just gassed up at Canada Olympic park location (N side) Calgary, 8420 Bowfort Road. Within 2 min my vehicle was blowing blue smoke. Turned around and went back vehicle no longer wanting to idle. Alerted the worker that Pump 1 has something in it other than gas.

This used to be a brand we were proud of in western Canada - Federal report slams WestJet for regulatory violations that left 170 passengers stranded. So why the light fine? - Toronto Star apple.news/A8cGSajQpQnmrd…

Alberta produces some of the most toxic crude the world has ever seen... Could the US actually do itself, Canada, and the world a huge favor by kicking its addiction to Alberta crude and convert to sweet, less toxic grades like WTI??? It just might give Canada the nudge it desperately needs to wind down an industry that's less than 4% of GDP. @liberal_party @ndp @CPC_HQ @BlocQuebecois

“No matter how much oil the United States pumps - and it already is the top producer in the world by far — its refineries were designed to run on a blend of different types of oil. Many can't function well without the darker, denser, cheaper crude that is hard to find domestically… Canada is flush with that oil, known as heavy crude.” - Rebecca F.
